Change is Difficult

All change is difficult. Even good change. The fact that change is difficult does not mean it is not Gods will. Sometimes we make changes after praying for direction and feeling like we heard God say "go this way" but when we do follow our heart, it starts getting very difficult. Its at that time we question Gods direction and will for our life. God never promised "easy". Look at the Israelites in the old testament after being freed from slavery in Egypt. They left Egypt with excitement and vision, because God said he was taking them to the promise land. A land flowing with milk and honey ( all good things) but as they walked in the direction God (through His servant Moses) directed them to go, it became VERY difficult for them. They even complained and wanted to go back (into slavery) because it was not easy... in fact it was almost unbearable!! But as we see as we continue to read the story, it was Gods will, Gods PERFECT will! And those who remained faithful (only a few from the original people that left captivity in Egypt), were able to get to the land that God promised them!! We must pray for direction and for Gods perfect will in our life then hen we feel God leading us in a certain direction, we should start walking in that direction and no matter how hard it may become, we must continue until we reach our promised land! Have a blessed week!!

Oh yes, so many people say that if things are hard then you must not be following God's will. This is not true! Following God's will can be very hard. Thanks for the reminder. New follower (and also a pastor's wife)

This was very encouraging for me, Rebecca. We must keep our focus on God's will for our lives and pray for wisdom and guidance in the path He chooses for us.
