You walked all the way from where?

So tonight I showed up at the outreach center after work for worship practice and find my husband chatting with a man.(which is nothing out of the ordinary because my husband LOVES to talk! He takes the saying "as Christians we have to be relational to win others to Christ" to a WHOLE new level! Haha!) He introduced us and said "meet a men who just walked all the way from Georgia." My first thought was Georgia st. Because that's that street our church is on and its a very long street, so I thought "cool". But then he said from the state of Georgia. He said it took him 23 months to walk to our town which is Vallejo, California. He arrived yesterday across town and someone told him he needed to go see pastor Scott at Bridgeway Church so he did! He said his wife died 5 years ago and he felt like God told him to walk to Boise,IDAHO. He said God had supplied his needs the whole way! I asked him why Idaho and he said he he didn't know, he would see when he got there. I asked him if he had any family and he said he did not. He told us a few stories of his journey, then we all gathered around him and said a prayer. We have a place at the outreach center where he can stay a couple of nights and a shower and food, then he will be on his way. Crazy the people you meet while doing Gods work! We have every reason to believe this man. Even if his story was not true, God asks us to help those in need.and so that is what we do.

Similar thing happened to us, only not such a distance! Wow! The man who I know has been at our church for several years now. God is good!

@ Pamela...me too! I will keep an update on my blog. @ Dalayna, its crazy who God brings into our lives! Some for many years and some for days or even hours. We must always believe that God has crossed our paths for a reason, if only to share a meal and a little encouragement. :) So glad the man was able to find a loving home at your church!!
